CB Certification

Brief description of certification

The IECEE CB system is the first truly international system for mutual recognition of safety test reports for electrical products. A multilateral agreement is formed between the national certification bodies (NCBs) of each country, and manufacturers can obtain national certification from other member countries of the CB system with a CB test certificate issued by one NCB.

The CB system is based on the international IEC standards. If the national standards of some member countries are not yet fully consistent with IEC standards, national differences are also allowed to exist, but should be made known to other members.The CB system uses CB test certificates to confirm that product samples have successfully passed the appropriate tests and meet the relevant IEC requirements and the requirements of the member country concerned.

The main goal of the CB system is to facilitate international trade by promoting the harmonization of national and international standards and the cooperation of product certification bodies, while bringing manufacturers closer to the desired "one test, many applications" goal.
