The validity of Kuwait CITRA certificate is extended to 3 years

Kuwait CITRA has implemented new regulations to extend the validity of its certificate from one year to three years. The manufacturer does not have to renew the certificate every year. For all applications submitted after September 12, 2021, the certificate is valid for 3 years, and the application fee will increase accordingly.

According to the new regulations, the main changes are as follows:

1. The validity period of type approval certificate shall be increased from 1 year to 3 years.

2. The original approval certificate number (type approval ID) remains unchanged during renewal.

3. Apply for renewal within 3 months before the expiration date of the certificate, but the latest application date shall not exceed 20 days after the expiration. If no renewal application is received within this period, the certificate will be cancelled.

4. The application fee has increased.
