On March 9, 2021, the State Administration of market supervision and the State Standardization Administration issued GB / T 39600-2021 classification of formaldehyde emission from wood-based panels and their products. The standard will enter into force on October 1, 2021. The main contents are as follows:
The standard specifies the formaldehyde emission classification of various indoor wood-based panels and their products, such as fiberboard, particleboard, plywood, joinery board, reconstituted decorative board, veneer laminated timber, integrated timber, veneer wood-based panel, wooden floor, wooden wallboard, wooden door, etc.
The formaldehyde emission of wood-based panels and their products is divided into three levels according to the limit value. The specific classification requirements are as follows:
Formaldehyde emission limit level | Limit value | identification |
Class E1 | ≤0.124 mg/m³ | E1 |
Class E0 | ≤0.050 mg/m³ | E0 |
Class ENF | ≤0.025 mg/m³ | ENF |
Standard | China | Foreign |
Class E1 | ≤0.124mg/m³ | ≤0.124mg/m³ |
Class E0 | ≤0.050mg/m³ | Europe E0 ≤0.1mg/m³ |
Class ENF | ≤0.025mg/m³ | USA CARB-NAF 0.04-0.06ppm (0.0536mg/m³-0.08mg/m³) |
The products include plywood, MDF, particleboard (particleboard), blockboard, Recon wood, LVL, plywood, melamine board, wood floor, wall decoration board and wooden door.
