Korea | RoHS four o-benzene requirements to be implemented from next month

On November 24, 2020, the resource recycling division of the Ministry of environment of the Republic of Korea issued Presidential Decree No. 31184 to revise the law enforcement order on the recycling of electrical and electronic products and automotive resources (RoHS of the Republic of Korea). The scope of controlled products will be increased to 49 categories from January 1, 2021, and four restrictions on o-benzene will be added, which will be implemented from July 1, 2021.

According to Presidential Decree No. 31184, the categories of RoHS controlled products in South Korea are increased from 26 to 49, and the newly added 23 categories are as follows:
