Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are chemicals of global concern due to their potential for long-range transport, persistence in the environment, ability to bio-magnify and bio-accumulate in ecosystems, as well as their significant negative effects on human health and the environment.

Scope of Product

This group of priority pollutants consists of pesticides, industrial chemicals and unintentional by-products of industrial processes. The scope of products include electrical and electronic equipment, plastics, rubber, paper, wood, textiles, etc., covering almost all aspects of daily life.


Main Testing Items

European Union have issued a new Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, and the original Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 had been abolished. GIG can help companies identify and test restricted substances in products to comply with POPs . Main testing items are as follows,
