Amazon TIC Direct Verification Full Resolution: Seller Compliance Essentials!

What is TIC Direct Verification?

If you are an Amazon seller, you may have recently heard about the "TIC Direct Verification Program," but what exactly is it? Simply put, TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) refers to testing, inspection, and certification agencies recognized by Amazon. The TIC Direct Verification Program is a new policy launched by Amazon in collaboration with these authoritative institutions, which requires that sellers' compliance information (such as test reports, DoC/CPC, etc.) must be directly uploaded to Amazon's backend by the TIC agency, rather than being submitted by the seller themselves. The introduction of this policy aims to enhance the compliance of products on the platform, ensure consumer safety, and reduce the risk of product removal or account suspension due to compliance issues for sellers. In other words, Amazon wants to ensure the safety, legality, and reliability of the products you sell through more stringent review mechanisms!

Why does Amazon implement TIC Direct Verification?

Enhance Compliance Assurance TIC agencies are third-party authoritative organizations rigorously screened by Amazon, and their reports or verification results are more professional and credible. Compared to documents uploaded by sellers themselves, this method can effectively eliminate false or non-compliant compliance materials. Reduce Communication Costs In the past, sellers had to prepare and upload compliance documents themselves, and any minor errors could result in rejection by the platform. Now, with TIC agencies uploading uniformly, the process is more standardized and efficient. Lower Risk of Non-Compliance If you upload non-compliant materials, you may face the risk of product removal, account restrictions, or even account suspension. TIC Direct Verification, through professional agency review, minimizes these issues to the greatest extent.

Can I still use my existing test report?

Many sellers ask, "Can I still use the test reports I paid for before?" The answer is: conditionally yes! If your report comes from a laboratory that meets international standards (such as ISO17025), it is theoretically still valid, but you cannot directly upload it to Amazon. You need to submit the report to a TIC agency for review and conversion into an Amazon-recognized format before uploading. If the report is not qualified, the TIC agency will also provide rectification suggestions to help you pass the compliance review smoothly.

What is the process of TIC Direct Verification?

Submit existing reports: Submit your test reports, compliance documents, etc., to the TIC agency. Review and Rectification: The TIC agency will check whether the documents meet Amazon's requirements, and if there are issues, they will provide rectification plans. Upload and Synchronize: After passing the review, the TIC agency will directly upload the compliance materials to Amazon's backend, completing the verification process.

Why can't I directly upload compliance materials?

Amazon's move is to ensure the authenticity and consistency of compliance information. Sellers who upload themselves may encounter formatting errors, standards mismatches, and other issues, while TIC agencies, as "middlemen," can ensure the authority of the materials and reduce disputes.
